FAQ

Some of the most frequently asked questions about Yoga and The Yoga Shed answered below.

Most of our classes are run by independent teachers so you can enquire and book directly with them. If using a mobile device, click their number to call. 

Some classes and workshops are bookable online, click book to reserve a place. 

Generally, it is important to wear clothing that is both comfortable and made from breathable fabric (like cotton, bamboo or jersey). Yoga pants, leggings or bike shorts are ideal with a t-shirt or a workout top.

Loose shorts should be avoided (especially by guys!) for similar reasons you’d avoid loose tops.

Yoga is done is bare feet, however some like to wear yoga socks that have grippy bottoms. 

Bring socks and a warm layer for savasana, so that you can be warm while you relax at the end of class. 

Most of our Yoga classes are suitable for beginners to join as teachers will offer lower alternatives and variations.

We also offer classes described as ‘beginners’ or ‘gentle’, and these classes are an ideal foundation to yoga. They are of a slower pace, more gentle and a great way to begin your Yoga journey.

Most of our classes are run in blocks of 4 to 6 weeks and mostly work out to £8 a class for 1hr to 1.15hr classes. 

Drop-ins are available if there is space (check with your teachers) and this is between £9-£10.

Our Saturday morning 9-10am and Sunday 9.10-10.10am classes are run as drop-in to keep it flexible on the weekend. Simply book online and then pay £8 on the day.

Workshops and longer Pop-up classes are generally between £12-25.

The Yoga Shed is situated just off Wickham Square. We are between Pages Newsagents and The Square Cow Pub. Walk towards Biscoes front door, which is set back from the square and go round to the right. 

You can park in The Square. It is pay and display from 9.00am to 5.00pm and is £0.30 per hour, 4 hours maximum stay (please re-check this on arrival).

If you need longer you can park nearby in the Wickham Community Centre,  Station Road Car park or various side roads. These are free/long-stay alternatives that are about a 5 minute walk to The Square.

We provide mats, blocks, bolsters, blankets, and eye pillows. Some people like to bring their own mats, but it’s not essential. 

Just bring a bottle of water with you, a warm layer for savasana and cash to pay for your class.

Please arrive 5-10 minutes before class to get settled before class. Late comers can interrupt the ambiance if class has already started.

Please ensure that your phone is on silent.

Our yoga studio is calm and tranquil and offers space for up to 12-14 comfortably on mats. We provide all yoga equipment. 

We have a loo and a small kitchen area, so if time before or after class you can make yourself a cup of complimentary herbal tea.
